Now that the weather is nice again, I have been getting outdoors more for workouts. This past week, I enjoyed a ladder workout that I haven’t done since highschool.
Max effort: 50m 100m 150m 300m 300m 150m 100m 50m
I forgot just how brutal max effort 300-400m sprints are, and now I’m craving a
4x400m workout. I’ll probably have to go to McCarren Park for that, because
they have a proper 400m track there. The Chelsea track is only 275m.
Today, I did another fun springtime workout—one that I love and do regularly.
12x: Sprint 50m Walk 50m
Sprinting max effort is one of the most invigorating feelings I know. Highly Rx this workout.
Some other exercises I have recently been loving and plan to work more into the springtime regimen are:
Jumping pullups Kipping pullups High hang power snatches Power cleans
Lots of stuff that will hopefully make my sprints faster!
