I have been experimenting lately with removing grains from my diet (eliminating bread / rice / legumes pretty much cold turkey). One of the grains I miss is tortilla chips with salsa. While I admit that I have splurged a few times and eaten tortilla chips at restaurants with great guac, I have not eaten them at home at all.
Mainly, I miss the tortillas because I LOVE salsa. I had a jar of salsa in my fridge and was craving some, so I tried dipping different veggies instead of chips.
I found what worked best was slicing carrots flat and using them to scoop the salsa. I also tried cucumbers, but did not enjoy this as much as the carrots.
