Health = Long Lasting Functional Ability: The Evolving Crossfit Philosophy
Crossfit is still young enough that you can watch it evolving. Coach Glassman just added a new axis / metric to the Crossfit definition of health. A year ago, Crossfit defined health/fitness as “increased work capacity over broad time and modal domains.” Now one of the officially defined metrics for measuring health is longevity.
The goal isn’t longevity.
The goal isn’t multitude of durations of effort.
And it’s really not power output.
It’s about all of this.
I want to be powerful across broad time and modal domains for as long as I possibly can.
