Quick Add to Google Calendar via SMS
Something I used to do when I was first playing with GCal was add events via SMS. I stopped using calendar apps for awhile, and when I returned to Gcal once there was better syncing support for iPhone and Blackberry, I sort of forgot about this feature.
I still think quick-add via SMS is the fastest way to add an event to your calendar. Google’s language parsing makes this a pretty slick little command line interface:
730am 50 burpees
Or:
130pm tomorrow lunch with CC
Or:
friday 9am followup w panelists
Google Calendar’s SMS short code is 48368. Texting any of the above to 48368 will quick add an event to your default calendar.
